My personal preference for a Jazz Club is for one that is very similar to the Upwell Jazz Club, small and intimate. I love to be able to grab a seat right at the front so I can see the whites of their eyes! Much nicer than a huge auditorium.
The following Jazz Clubs / Events fall into this category. The other nice thing is that there is likely to be a similar circle of musicians performing - makes it nice to be able to chat and catch up.

Jazz events on occasional Sunday afternoons - plenty of other live music events held here - with good food too.
The Secret Garden - Wisbech

Not so many jazz events now but they itll have some great entertainment at this Remarkable venue: my current favourite, The CoPolice, a rather good Police tribute band.

Pretty much guaranteed to be very high quality Jazz Musicians performing here - we've never been let down!

Saturday Night Jazz @ Oundle, Peterborough
Peterborough Jazz Club is running a Jazz Night on Saturday 1st February: 8pm start.
I love this venue. It's in a fabulously picturesque village and the pub has a lovely inimate feel.
Come along to The Ship and enjoy tunes which were featured by many of the great jazz musicians, such as Hank Mobley, Blue Mitchell, Stan Getz and Ronnie Scott played by The Laurie Jacobs/Alex Moore/ John Pini Hammond Organ Quintet, with Russell Williams and Dave Jackson.
